If you need a dental restoration like a crown, our dentists may use the CEREC® Omnicam to take a digital impression in Austin, Texas. The Omnicam has unrivaled handling and can scan teeth without the use of powder. The Omnicam takes 3D images of the teeth in natural color. Just a few clicks are needed to take images of the tooth that needs to be restored and its opposing tooth. Our lab tech, Rebecca, uses the Omnicam for models, impressions, and casts.
When you come in for your appointment, we will prepare your tooth for the restoration by removing a small amount of enamel. Then we may use the Omnicam to take a digital impression of your tooth and the surrounding teeth. Digital impressions taken with the Omnicam are very accurate, so you can rest assured that your dental restoration will fit comfortably and effectively. When your restoration is complete, it will be bonded into place to restore your smile’s health, function, and beauty.
