Dr. Alok Shiva was born and raised in Texas where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. After navigating through the ebbs and flows of “life,” Dr. Shiva began his dental journey by attending the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry.
Dr. Shiva believes continuing education is invaluable as he strives to provide treatment that is supported by up-to-date research and technological advancements. One of his favorite quotes is “Never allow waiting to become a habit. Live your dreams and take risks. Life is happening now” by Paulo Coelho. So, after dental school, he completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, Texas where he received extensive training in Comprehensive Dentistry, with major emphases on Intravenous Sedation, Implants, Periodontal Surgeries, Full Mouth Rehabilitations and Cosmetic Dentistry.
For Dr. Shiva, dentistry is an intricate and complex form of science, medicine and art and by using an interdisciplinary approach he loves to engage patients in the treatment process to help provide the highest quality of comprehensive care in order to restore their smiles, confidence and oral health. Known for his friendly, communicative and compassionate personality, Dr. Shiva strives to provide an enjoyable, anxiety-free dental experience.
