What Dental Concerns Can Invisalign Fix?

If you have one of the following, you may be an ideal candidate for Invisalign clear aligners:

  • Crowded teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Open bite
  • Undesired gaps between teeth

Straighten Your Teeth in As Little as 6 to 18 Months

Clear aligners offer a more comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces.

Invisalign clear aligners are made of a material called SmartTrack. This SmartTrack fits snugly around the many contours of your teeth so that pressure is applied in the correct areas. The pressure exerted by the aligner will cause tiny movements in your teeth over time.

Bit by bit, you will progress to your next aligner. Typically, you will change out aligners every 10 days. Your dentist will provide a few aligners at a time, and you’ll return to the office to keep track of your progress.

Maintaining your schedule is crucial to enjoying a straighter smile!

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign in Austin, TX

Many teens and adults are great candidates for Invisalign. These clear aligners typically treat crowded teeth, spacing, some bite issues, and relapse after braces. The best way to confirm whether or not it is a fit for you is through the initial digital scans and treatment plan in-office.

Treatment time can vary by complexity and how reliable a patient is on wearing their retainers. We have a rough estimate of 6 to 18 months. After our consultation, we will be able to provide a narrower timeline for your specific treatment.

For the best results, patients should wear aligners 20 to 22 hour per day. You should only remove them when you eat, drink anything beside water, and to brush your teeth.

You may feel pressure and tenderness on the first day or two with your new aligner. This is because you are moving your teeth at a slow pace. However, aligners should never damage your gums or be extremely painful. If you experience any of these symptoms, we recommend you come back into the office.

You'll need to remove your aligners to eat. When wearing your aligners, drink only water. Typically, hot drinks can melt the trays. Sugar and acidic drinks can remain trapped in your aligners, resulting in a potential cavity.

Rinse when you remove thembrushing gently with a toothbrush. You can also use clear aligner cleaning tablets or crystals as recommended by your dentist. Avoid hot water or abrasive toothpaste that can scratch or cloud your trays.

You may encounter a slight lisp for a few days while you adjust to the fit.

Contact your dentist and we will recommend the next steps.

Yes, retainers are essential for maximum results. Most patients wear their retainer full-time at first and then nightly for prolonged results. This will be specific to each patient and your dentist will advise on your best path forward post-treatment.

Cost varies based on complexity and treatment length. We'll provide a clear quote after your exam/scan and review financing options, monthly payments, and insurance benefits (if applicable).
