I have been a dental hygienist for approximately 30 years. My husband and I have two grown children and three grandchildren. I am a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, along with the Texas and Austin associations. I enjoy traveling, gardening, needlework, and am active in my church and neighborhood association. I feel very fortunate that I am in a profession that allows me to work and help people on a daily basis.
Shelby – Dental Hygienist
Hello! My name is Shelby, and I have been a practicing dental hygienist since 2018. I am from Washington State and was a clinical instructor at Eastern Washington University’s Dental Hygiene Program. Moving to Texas in September 2020 was a last minute and spontaneous decision I made with my best friend, and I am so happy we did! I love the southern charm of Austin and I love the abundance of outdoor activities. Please feel free to recommend fishing, hiking, or boating spots that are worth exploring, especially if they are dog friendly!

Hello! I’ve been with Barton Oaks Dental Group since 2008 and a dental assistant since 2003. Clearly, I have enjoyed my time here at Barton Oaks Dental Group, and I love building lasting relationships with my patients. I love to laugh and be silly and if you know me, you know this is true 🙂 I have been known to serenade patients, free of charge of course, lol. I have two beautiful daughters, Malina and Josephine; three bonus children, Cheyenne, Chloe and Jerrain; a dog, Peanut; and a fish, Mr. Fishey. I love getting to spend as much time with them as I can.

Hello my name is Monica. I am from Austin. I started working with Barton Oaks Dental Group in August so it hasn’t been very long, but I really love it here! Last year I had the opportunity to go on mission trips with both Dr. Neeley and Dr. Bradley, which I certainly loved. I have been assisting for 11 years. When I am not working, I take care of my parents and hang out with my daughter and two grandkids. I also love crocheting, even though I am not very good at it.

I have been an assistant for 26 years at a non-profit dental clinic and am now part of Barton Oaks Dental Group. I am originally from Panama. My father was in the Navy, so we moved to Brooklyn, New York. There, I got married and raised two children, R.J. and Danniel. Life brings you many changes. I know this, because I am now raising two more kids, Heaven and Nigel. They are my blessings!
