Carla Zafereo
I am one of the newest members of the Barton Oaks Dental Team, and I absolutely LOVE this practice and the staff! I grew up in Midland, Texas, and after graduation started my college career at SWTS in San Marcos. After graduation from college with a Bachelors degree in Business I taught school for a year and quickly discovered that teaching was not my passion. My first position in the business world was as the HR Manager/Team Leader of a large office. I have maintained this career interest for the last 25+ years. I have managed large and medium sized offices in the medical field but never one that I have enjoyed as much as I do this team.
I have been married to the most wonderful man, Joe Zafereo, for 31 years. We have two grown sons, Brad and Doug and 4 incredibly beautiful and wonderful grandchildren. We have discovered that grandchildren are God's reward for living through raising two boys. Our grandchildren are Chandler - 12, Preston - 10, Cameron - 7, and Kennedy - 6 and they are the light of our lives.
I am very proud of the fact that the Barton Oaks Team is very dedicated to our patients and we work very hard to make sure that each and every patient has a positive visit in our office and leaves happy with our practice. Our Team is indeed a "Team" working together to insure our patients are as happy as we are.

I was born and raised here in Austin, Texas. I have been a Dental Hygienist for five years and I cherish the opportunity to create a trusting environment for my patients while they learn the importance of dental health.
My husband and I have a handsome baby boy named Steven. In my free time I love to dance and watch movies. My family and I are enjoying living in Central Austin and absorbing all the city has to offer.

I have been involved in dentistry for fifteen years and a hygienist for ten years. I can honestly say that I enjoy coming to work and look forward to seeing my patients and co-workers. My philosophy is to treat people with respect and care as I would with my own family. I have been fortunate to work with this group for six years, minus the time I have taken off to have two very active boys. My husband and I spend all of our time trying to keep up with our 5 and 3 year old boys, Ryan and Garrett. I look forward to meeting you and providing a fun and positive dental experience.

I have practiced Dental Hygiene in
Austin since 1979. I joined the Neeley -
Nemeth team in January, 1997. I grew up
in Orange, Texas where my father
practiced dentistry for 40 years. I love
my work and have formed many special
relationships with my patients over the
years. I have been married to my husband,
David, for 25 years. We have a daughter,
Lindsey, who is 17 years old and attends
Westwood High School. We also have a

huge Longhorn Fan. I look forward to
meeting and working with you in the

From the day I was born, I knew dentistry was going to be my career. After a few years trying to find my "place" to land, at least about six years ago, I found this amazing group of people who call themselves the "Barton Oaks Dental Group." I fell in love at first sight with their care, kindness, and detail to perfection. I'm proud to be part of this group and our patients are the ones who keep me enthusiastiic about returning day after day. I'm also a full time mom/taxi cab to my three wonderful children.

my country. While I was in South America,

Yvonne MoncivaisHi, I'm here to meet, greet and help you with all your front desk needs; with a smile of course. I've been happily working for Barton Oaks Dental Group for over 10 years. When my days are over, zoom, I'm off to the gym staying active and living healthy. Although, I do have a secret love affair with Ben and Jerry - their Vanilla Health Bar Crunch to be exact. Actually, my main love is my boyfriend, Matthew who I keep a picture of by my desk. So stop on by, chat, and if you have a Starbuck's Cinnamon Dolce Latte in your hand, we'll be best friends, forever!

I have been in the dental field for over 4 years, I started out as a dental assistant after finishing the program at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX, but somehow I fell into the front office and love every minute of it. I am very lucky to be a part of the Barton Oaks Dental Group, we have a great group of people here. When you come in our front door and everyone is laughing it's probably because I'm acting up and making them laugh which I love to do! In my free time I love visiting my family and friends in my hometown of Lufkin, TX, and of course spoiling the loves of my life, my dogs, Harley and Sophie.

Heidi Glaze
Hi, my name is Heidi and I am fairly new to this wonderful office. I started my dental career close to 20 years ago as a dental assistant. Other than the great people I work with, my favorite part of the job is our patients; they teach me something new every day. When I am not at work, my husband, David, and I enjoy anything that involves the outdoors. If you see a girl on the back of a motorcycle with a purple helmet on, wave, it is probably me. We currently reside in Dripping Springs with our two dogs, Valentino and Gisele, and our cat, Mojo. I look forward to meeting your front desk needs and if you just need a smile I can do that, too.

Gayla Hart-Scrutchfield
I have been working in the dental field for 30 years, fortunatly the last 20 years have been with this practice. This career has provided me the opportunity for great personal growth and to meet a lot of wonderful people.
I respect and appreciate the Doctors, my co-workers and all the patients with whom I have had the opportunity to work with and know. I am proud of the quality dentistry and the professional, caring and giving attitude I have seen within this office and continue to see on a daily basis. I look forward to assisting our patients with any questions or needs they may have.
I have been allowed to decrease my work week from five to three days, providing me the opportunity to pursue personal interests, and time to enjoy my eight grandchildren, ages 1 1/2 year to 10 years, from my four daughters and four wonderful son-in-laws. Thank God! I have been blessed.

Andres AcevedoI was born in
Medellin, Columbia, and moved to Austin
when I was 15. I went to high school and
college here in Austin. One of my goals
is to be one of the youngest and best
dental technicians, creating a product
that our patients will be glad to have
and doing the best job for every
individual. Outside of work, I am part of
the live music scene in Austin; I am in a
band called Kalua which you will be
hearing about soon. Of course, like every
Latin, I play soccer.
